Shortlisted proposals for UK Holocaust Memorial unveiled

(via Bustler)

On the somber occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the 10 shortlisted proposals for the UK Holocaust Memorial Design Competition have been publicly revealed. The proposals were designed by the 10 star-studded teams who were invited to submit concepts this past fall.

With Malcolm Reading Consultants as adviser, the jury — Communities Secretary Sajid Javid; Mayor of London Sadiq Khan; Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis; and broadcaster Natasha Kaplinsky — will evaluate the proposals based on technical, financial, planning and other constraints.

The jury will pick the winning concept, which is expected to be announced this summer. However, public feedback will help inform the jury’s final decision — so tell them what you think! (Public feedback on the designs can be submitted to ukhmf@cabinetoffice.gov.uk. You must specify the design team to which you are referring when providing feedback.)
