Cal Poly’s Open House to Feature Rodeo, Parade and More

California Polytechnic State University’s Open House is expected to bring in more than 5,000 visitors to the campus and community this weekend.

The event features a full lineup of activities on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, prospective students and their families visit Cal Poly to get acquainted with the campus and its academic programs. The showcase includes a tour of Cal Poly’s architecture Design Village in Poly Canyon, where students design and build structures that they inhabit for the entire weekend. Architecture students worked on the village Thursday in anticipation of the visitors who would be checking out their skills.

The public is welcome to tour the Design Village from noon to 5 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Shuttle rides are available to take visitors to the project site from the architecture building (Building 5) on campus.
